| KENTUCKY PROFESSIONAL INVESTIGATORS ASSOCIATION (KPIA) Originally founded to propose legislation for licensing private investigators in the state of Kentucky, in the spring of 2002, K.P.I.A. members worked with members of the Kentucky General Assembly to enact KRS 329A, the Kentucky private investigator’s licensing law. This law established the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Private Investigators and set the basic standards of licensing requirements and regulations. K.P.I.A. continues to promote professionalism and continuing education in the private investigative industry and strongly supports the ethical conduct of its members and encourages networking among its members and with the investigative associations of other states.
KENTUCKY SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL INVESTIGATORS (KSPI) The Kentucky Society of Professional Investigators was formed to cultivate and advance knowledge of the science and techniques of professional investigation. To maintain high standards and ethics of the profession and to promote efficiency of the investigator in the services he or she performs. It assists in encouraging, fostering and developing relations of helpful interest between members of the profession and, in furtherance thereof, aids in publishing and distributing or promoting the publication of books, periodicals, treatises, circulars and other papers relating to such subjects and objects of the KSPI.KENTUCKY ACADEMY OF CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAWYERS (KYACDL) As an organization, KYACDL’s established purpose is to foster, maintain and encourage a high standard of integrity, independence and expertise of the criminal defense lawyer, to strive for justice, respect and dignity for criminal defense lawyers, defendants and the entire criminal justice system consistent with the Kentucky and United States Constitutions. KYACDL is about promoting study and research in the field of criminal law, disseminating information by lecture, seminar and publication for the advancement of knowledge in the field of criminal defense practice, seeking to promote the proper administration of criminal justice throughout the Commonwealth, and it seeks to encourage the integrity, independence and expertise of defense lawyers and other defense professionals in Kentucky.
THE CRIMINAL DEFENSE INVESTIGATOR TRAINING COUNCIL (C.D.I.T.C.) The Criminal Defense Investigation Training Council was established to encourage a dialogue among professionals and scholars involved in various aspects of criminal defense investigation. The Council exists as an open forum in which investigative philosophy, methodology, education, and principles of ethical inquiry can be considered via academic training programs, discussions, debate, and writings. The Council is actively pursuing the goals of professional competence and academic excellence via the Board Certified Criminal Defense Investigator program and the Training Accreditation Program. The Council encourages professionals actively engaged in the discipline of Criminal Defense Investigation to join the Council and pursue the designation of Board Certified Criminal Defense Investigator.
NATIONAL DEFENDER INVESTIGATOR ASSOCIATION The National Defender Investigator Association (NDIA) is the only national organization to represent a constituency dedicated solely to the investigative arm of indigent defense NATIONAL NOTARY ASSOCIATION The National Notary Association (NNA) serves the professional, career and business needs of America's Notaries by providing the critical information, training and support Notaries need to perform their official duties. The NNA also helps the general public understand the Notary's important and unique role in today's business and commerce and work with state officials to develop laws that protect citizens from fraud and scams. We enhance international trade by educating other nations about the requirements and limits of American Notaries and assist consumers in reporting improper practices by unscrupulous Notaries.
